  1. Listened yesterday. You guys brought up the change to Reach weapons. Keep in mind that OA’s only trigger when you *leave* the reach of a creature, not enter it or move around in it. So you can’t trigger OA’s when approaching the character… unless they have that annoying polearm feat.

  2. Halflings cannot grapple dragons. From PHB 195: “The target of your grapple must be no more than one size category larger than you, and it must be within reach”. So the third bullet point in the Grappler feat simply contradicted this rule (it indicated that grappling creatures larger than you automatically fail), and should therefore be removed.

Also, in relation to the dual-wielding hand crossbow trick to achieve the extra bonus action attack, you do not need a second hand crossbow for this. The wording allows you to use the same hand crossbow for the bonus action attack (confirmed by Jeremy Crawford).

  3. On the matter of the vision and light clarification:
“A creature in a heavily obscured area effectively suffers from the blinded condition”

By the original rules RAW, light does not work intuitively at all. Basically, whether or not you can see a creature is entirely determined by where you’re standing. Darkness creates a heavily obscured area, while in a heavily obscured area, you are effectively blinded. This means that when you’re standing in darkness, you can’t see anyone, even if they’re in an area of bright light. Similarly, you can stand in a 5 ft. area of bright light and see perfectly until something blocks your line of sight, despite everywhere else being in darkness.

The errata fixes that so that vision is determined by the light level of the thing you’re looking at, rather than the light level you’re standing in. Which is, I think, a houserule implemented by literally every DM ever, even accidentally.
